Milken Institute Fellows redefine excellence. We search not only for bright, academically qualified candidates, but also for a diverse group of future leaders who are passionate about the opportunity to support change and assist decision-makers.

Academic qualifications
Candidates must have completed at least a bachelor's degree before their fellowship begins. We will not accept candidates who have not completed their bachelor's degrees by the end of August. A grade average of 85 (B+) is required.

Candidates who are currently studying for or hold master's degrees will receive priority consideration. The ideal candidates will have either a bachelor's or a master's in business, economics, public policy or a related field (law, urban planning, environmental management, etc.) A strong background in quantitative research methods and economics is preferred but not required. Proficiency in statistic software such as SAS or Stata is an advantage for some internship opportunities.

Language requirement
Candidates must be able to read and write fluently in Hebrew. English reading skills are required, as professional literature and databases may be in English. Reasonable English writing and communications skills are expected. Arabic language skills are a plus.

Personal skills
Our application form covers each candidate's academic background, knowledge of professional software and standardized test scores. We also review each candidate's writing samples, resume and reference letters. We place special emphasis on the applicant's 500-word essay. It is a key component of a successful application and carries significant weight in first-tier selection decisions.
